PERMISSION WAS GRANTED BY THE ONTBIRDS COORDINATOR FOR
THIS POSTING:

Nice to see some of you this afternoon at the Ontario
Breeding Bird Atlas launch at the ROM.

Journey North, now in its 15th year, is an
award-winning internet-based science program,
utilized by about 700,000 students in Canada and the
United States (www.learner.org.jnorth).

We are requesting the support of ONTBIRDS subscribers
in reporting overwintering America Robins for the
period Feb. 5 - 18/08.

PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THESE SIGHTINGS TO ONTBIRDS, BUT
TO EITHER

(1) JOURNEY NORTH via
http://www.learner.org/jnorth/robin/spring2008/Update020508.html#Round

(2)or DIRECTLY TO THIS WRITER

Details such as date of sighting, name of observer,
location of sighting and any details (i.e. number of
robins seen, foraging activities, etc) are important.

Thank you

Robin Round-up: Where ARE Robins in Winter? Where are
robins spending the winter of 2008? Let's find out!
It's time to take attendance. Please join our Winter
Robin Round-up Feb. 5-18)!
Here's what to do:

Go outside and look for robins. Ask your neighbors if
they have seen robins. Contact your friends and
relatives in other parts of North America. Ask
everybody you know to help you look for
robins. Then report your results by February 18 by
clicking the word "Sightings" on the navigation bar
(on the Journey North website link noted above).
Together we'll all answer the question as we make our
Winter Robin Round-up Map starting NOW.

Good digital photos of winter robin sightings - for
posting to this non-profit site are also appreciated.
