At 11:00 a.m. today I found a female Snow Owl perched on the ne corner of the filtration building (a white flat-topped brick buiding) just west of the entrance drive to the park. When it flushed, it flew somewhere to the south near the sailing club but I could not relocate it, even from the end of the outermost peninsula. David Hallett informed me that the owl has been in the area for about a week and is most active during the late afternoon hours. Directions: the parking lot for the park is located at the terminus of road that continues off the south end of Kipling where it meets Lakeshore Boulevard (at Humber Campus). The filtration plant is not far west of the brick building with the large chimney, so it might be best to park in the adjacent parking lot there first.
