I only heard from two folks from Long Island, NY, who looked from 1:30 until
dark today - no luck. The weather was bad today so I am sure not many
people were out. I'll be interested in seeing what the ice conditions are
like when I go out there tomorrow because from what I have seen just a
couple of miles upriver, I strongly suspect that the tremendous amount of
ice is having an effect upon the gulls. These two birders had not one
less-common species of gull and only three Bonaparte's Gulls - there had
been a few hundred. They only birded from Goat Island, NY.

If you were out there today, please post what you had or did not have.
Thanks.

Good birding!
Willie
