At 9:15am I spoke to Ed Coyle who advised me that overnight, the weather had changed for the worse. Goat Island (the best vantage point on the US side) is currently closed. Winds have gusted to 70 MPH removing the roof from a long standing Bank. Road conditions were also described as hazzardous due to icing and have caused several accidents as well as winds flipping Tractor Trailers. Canada does offer some good vantage points and the bird was seen from that side yesterday. Good luck if you go, but be advised of the conditions.
