For your info. Here is a message sent out by Curt McDermott about the status
of visiting Goat Island in New York State today. Niagara road conditions will
likely be treacherous as well.

After missing the Ross's Gull yesterday, I was anxious to hear an update this
morning. At 9:15am I spoke to Ed Coyle who advised me that overnight, the
weather had changed for the worse. Goat Island (the best vantage point on the
US side) is currently closed. Winds have gusted to 70 MPH removing the roof
from a long standing Bank. Road conditions were also described as hazzardous
due to icing and have caused several accidents as well as winds flipping
Tractor Trailers.

Canada does offer some good vantage points and the bird was seen from that
side yesterday. Good luck if you go, but be advised of the conditions.

Curt
