Ontbirders: On Sunday Jan 27/08, Carolyn King and I saw a flock of ~150 waxwings in the Courtice area. The flock consisted of about 90% Bohemians, and 10% Cedars. Flying in from the east, the birds landed for a time in a tall hardwood, before flying off to the west. Local birder P. Hogenbirk had reported a mixed flock of waxwings very near the same site the day before. Good luck! Directions: Take Hwy 401 to Courtice Road (exit 425, the first exit east of Oshawa), go north 1.8 km to Bloor St., turn right (east) and go 1.6 km to Solina Road, turn right (south) and go 0.8 km to the first house.
