Yesterday there were several thousand Crows at Mooney's Bay around 5pm. They were on the snow/ice of the Rideau River as well in many of the trees across at the Moffat Farms Development. I have seen gatherings like this but not on the surface here.
A Cooper's Hawk flew by but was ignored by all.

Mooney's Bay is best viewed on Riverside Dr at the intersection with Walkley Rd. Riverside can be accessed from the 417 ( head south) or from the 416 ( take River Rd exit).
