This morning, after checking Ozark Pk., I re-located the ten Bohemian
Waxwings in a loose, large flock of Cedar Wawings and American Robins
on the north side of North Lake Rd. opposite #232. This was between
10:00 - 10:45 am.

The flock would periodically swoop down and feed in the junipers in
the front yard of the neighbouring house (#237), offering excellent
photographic opportunities! Some individuals would drop to the ground
to feed on fallen berries and even eat snow to obtain water.

The flock were not in evidence when I returned at 11:00. Check the
swampy woods on the north side of the road where there is some
buckthorn as they might have moved there.

As there is no shoulder to park on North Beach Rd, I parked on the
circular driveway of #232. The owner had no problem with this, but I
would ask permission first.

On my return home, I had about twenty Pine Grosbeak along Kipling Ave.
about 1 km. south of Kirby Rd. One bird flow down to the roadside to
take grit.

Directions: North Lake Rd. is the first road east of Yonge St., north
of King Rd. in Oak Ridges (Richmond Hill). It follows Wilcox Lake to
Bayview Ave. Keep left when the road forks.
