Birders;
Yesterday John Lamey found a female barrow's goldeneye close to shore at the foot of Elmwood Dr. in Port Credit .This active bird was feeding very close to the shore just to the east of Elmwood. Also he found a female harlequin duck in the same area off Mississauga Rd along the Waterfront Trail,this was about 3.15 pm.We also saw glaucous and iceland gulls on the ice in the Credit rivermouth.. Extreme foggy conditions at the outset by the Humber it did get better.A single yellow-rumped warbler was at the gazebo in Port Credit by Tall Oaks Park.(7 birds there last year) Directions for all 3 sites Exit the Q.E. way at # 132 drive south to the lake along St.Lawrence Dr. to the gazebo find the warbler then walk about 300 yds further east to Elmwood Ave S. and look east along the shoreline.For the harlequin drive west along the Lakeshore Rd. to Mississauga Rd.turn south to the lakefront parking lot then walk along the Waterfront trail and watch the shoreline.
Best of luck
Don Perks
