The Bohemians reported by Chris Early were active this morning at the Arboretum.About 50 flew in beside the center about every half hour, and occasionally moved to a pine near the parking lot. The Shrike has been seen recently although I didn't see it this morning. A small group of Pine Grosbeaks made a brief appearance.
The trees are frost covered in a light fog, a very beautiful scene. Chris' excellent directions: Directions to The Arboretum. From the 401, take Highway 6 north to Guelph. Turn right onto College Avenue. Go through the University of Guelph campus, past the stadium and towards Victoria Road. Just before Victoria Road (and just before College Avenue ends) turn right into The Arboretum (note: this is our new entrance and doesn't have a new sign yet). -- Harold Stiver Paris, Canada [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://ontfin.com/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
