The 2nd unofficial Linwood CBC was held Saturday, December 22. The count circle is centred on the town of Linwood (northwest of Waterloo). Most of the circle is agricultural land and this is a traditional area for wintering raptors. 16 field observers tallied 49 species this year (up from 46 when we did it in 2003).
