Winds were light to moderate west-southwest early becoming fairly strong and gusty out of the west by late morning. Raptor Observations: Predictably most of todays activity was reserved for the sunnier portions of the day in the afternoon. There was a decent push of birds at this time that dropped off quickly once the clouds developed again. Highlighting the day were two light morph Rough-legs that were seen escorting the second Golden Eagle of the day southward. Also, a fleeting Peregrine at the end of the day made for a nice capper to the flight. Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptor highlights included three Tree Swallows and a single Northern Rough-winged Swallow. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
