On Sat. Nov. 10th at 2:30 pm - after a morning birding Lake Simcoe shore
from Jackson's Point to Cook Bay with members of the Lake Simcoe Naturalists
Club - I was getting into my car on Land's End drive and in front of #9 -
there alighted a flock of 150+ Bohemian Waswings - I was able to have a
good look at the red undertail marking so I knew they were the target bird
we had sought earlier . The flock quickly took off heading south- east
toward the Salvation Army Camp. I did not find them.
Lone birds for the day included a Snow Bunting feeding on dried grass heads
on the verge of Kennedy Road north of the fenced off Hydro Station and a
Pied Billed Grebe diving near a large group of Buffleheads looking north
from the Roche's Point Municipal Fishing Pier .
