Weather:
Today saw sunny skies for much of the day with just some high cirrus cloud
cover. Heavier clouds moved into the area gradually from the south and west
during the afternoon as a frontal system approached, a system forecast to
bring rain during the overnight hours and into the early morning tomorrow.
Winds were light to moderate out of the south for the most part today.

Raptor Observations:
Sharpies dominated the flight for the most part today with only a modest TV
passage recorded and low numbers for most other species. Hopefully this
will be the last of this continuing summer-like weather and with the cooler
weather predicted for the remainder of the week, we will see an increase in
the larger cold weather raptors.

Non-raptor Observations:
While Rusty Blackbirds have been increasing in numbers daily lately, a
couple of BrewerÂ’s were noted among what was a rather large movement of
blackbirds and Starlings early in the day. Also, a Common Tern was seen
feeding with the ForsterÂ’s in the channel late in the day.
