Weather:
It was a mainly sunny day today but with a high thin cirrus layer that was
evident throughout the entire day. Winds were light and variable early in
the day becoming southwest at mid morning and finally moderate
south-southeast by early afternoon. 

 








Raptor Observations:
The strongest push of birds was in the first half of the day with the
visible flight tapering off in the afternoon as the southeast winds pushed
birds further to the north. The flight overall dropped off much more
quickly in the afternoon than seen the last few days. Vultures were
recorded in the highest numbers so far this fall and Sharpies continued to
move strongly. Highlights of the day included a dark morph SwainsonÂ’s Hawk
and the fine total of 6 Peregrine Falcons.
