Several carloads of birders from Montreal, Cobourg, Peterborough, Toronto, and
Hamilton failed to find the Northern Wheatear on Wolfe Island today, Sunday
September 16th - at least by the time the 2.30pm ferry left for Kingston. It
had been a cold, clear night and night migration monitoring at the Cornell Lab
of Ornithology in Upper New York State had shown a heavy southbound movement of
birds, probably including the wheatear.

Between 0730 and 0930 on Sunday Sept 16th the Northern Wheatear seen for the
previous three days was not seen on Wolfe Island. Perhaps those staying longer
can update this.
