Cranberry Marsh Whitby, Ontario, Canada Daily Raptor Counts: Sep 15, 2007 --- The hawks (numbers below in the table) came through along several paths, both high and low. The most spectacular Broad-winged numbers were in the last hour-- 578. Observation time: from 0800 to 1600 EST Official Counters: Ross Lamb, Jim Skene, Doug Lockrey and Geoff Carpentier Observers for at least 3 hrs.-- Jean Iron, Jody Melanson, Donna Foster, Joyce Collier-Brown, Steve Wood Upwards of 15 others who helped with the count Visitors: It was wonderful to have Fred Bodsworth and family with us; also, I was happy to have some of the 25 families who came to a CLOCA-sponsored outing on the north pathway--they and Patricia Lowe and Kathy Grant came over to enjoy CMRW for a short while.
