Hi;
My husband and son were camping at their regular spot and a snowy owl flew over and in front of the trailer at a distance of only about 20 ft. and they watched as it flew across the lake and disappeared into the trees. This was on August 29th in the morning. It was so close there was no mistaking it for anything else. This owl was seen again by another camper, a retired MNR conservation officer in the same area the following week and he and his wife watched it for quite some time as it sat in the open in the rain. I have not heard of one this far south at this time of year.
