John Schemelefske and I today birded the Luther Marsh area west
of Orangeville. Most remarkable sighting was a group of 89 Great
Egrets in a small marsh on 21/22 Sideroad just south-east of Luther
Marsh. Nearby we found a late female Bobolink, 2 Merlins, & 2 Sandhill
  Cranes .
We canoed the s.w. corner of the marsh. On small islands here we
found 19 Black-bellied Plovers, 6 Wilson's Snipe, Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs, Solitary, Spotted & Least sandpipers. Also, an adult Bald
Eagle, 2 Ospreys (juveniles ?) sitting on nests, Great Blue Herons,
another 5 Egrets, up to 10 Kingfishers, many Teal, Wood Ducks, Lesser
Scaup, Pied-billed Grebes, Mallards and Black Ducks.
