Hello Ontbirders,

This morning at about 930 I saw and heard a Red Crossbill flying SW over my house, which is in the north end of Brighton. This is one of only a few I have ever had in the yard since I moved here in 1994 but oddly, two others have been single birds in July. Anyway, not earth-shattering but fun to see. The call given was a well spaced series of loud, clear "kip" notes.

Cheers,

Doug McRae
