A very productive morning of birding with Tony Beck began at Ottawa Beach
today, with the following birds viewed from the shore near Andrew Hayden
Park East Parking lot:

1 first summer Great Black-backed Gull
3 Bonapartes Gulls
and 2 Common Terns in a small group of Ring-billed Gulls.

Shorebirds at this location included:
1 Greater Yellowlegs
4 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 adult Short-billed Dowitcher hendersoni sub-species in
breeding plumage
2 Killdeer.

Exploring other areas west produced sightings of:

Red-headed Woodpecker at Contance Bay Old Burn site
Virginia Rail, 2 Adults and 2 juveniles at the marsh by Constance Creek along Vance's Side Road
Sedge Wren at the traditional site on Torbolton Ridge Road
Upland Sandpiper in flight over Dunrobin Road near Kilmaurs Sideroad
And a Least Bittern in flight was viewed by one birder along Thomas Dolan Parkway at Constance Creek..
