This morning at about 10:30 my wife and I spotted a solitary female Harlequin Duck swimming and diving amongst the shoreline rocks of Isthmus Bay (Georgian Bay), less than a kilometre north of Lion's Head. We are 95% sure of our identification with good looks for an extended period of time through my scope and two or three good photos. We would be happy to email the pictures to someone more expert than us to confirm this spotting.
