Just returned from a good day at Long Point.

While walking through the picnic area in Long Point Provincial Park I observed a couple of sparrows in the berry bushes just before the yellow metal gate near the end of the picnic area. One was a White-throat and the other was a Harris' Sparrow. I observed this bird at about 20 feet and followed it as it flew into the Dogwoods, making its way deeper into the park beyond this yellow gate where I lost the bird. The time was around 3:30 this afternoon.

Other birds of interest:

Lots of Eastern Towhees and Brown Thrashers, Snipe, 5 warblers (Pine, Ovenbird, Yellow-rumped, Palm, and Black-throated Green), Blue-grey Gnatcatchers, both Kinglets, Chipping, Field, White Crowned, Harris, Song, House and White-throated Sparrows. Also had Hermit Thrush, Blue-headed Vireo, Red-headed & Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Winter Wrens and Carolina Wren singing.

On highway #24 just south of Brantford there was a Peregrine Falcon as well as Eastern Bluebirds on #59.
