Sunday April 1 at 10 a.m. I saw two sandhill cranes on the east side of Milton Road, north of Perreault. They were feeding with a large flock of Canada geese in a plowed farm field.
To get to Milton Road from Ottawa, take the 417 east and exit at Anderson Road. North on Anderson, turn right on Russell Road, drive east through Carlsbad Springs to Milton and turn left. Perreault Road will be on your right. Good birding, Roger Bird.
