Braved the cold winds today at Humber East and asides from the usual
assortment of ducks at this time of the year, there was a Dunlin on the east
shore of the 1st pond just east of the parking lot (thanks to the other
couple out there who pointed it out - sorry I forgot the names). The Dunlin
might be hurt - it's missing feathers from the back of its neck, but
otherwise feeding normally. There was also an Am Coot in the same area.

Humber Bay East park can be reached by exiting at Park Lawn Road off the QEW
and going south to the lake. Lots of parking.

Hi all,
There was a sub-adult Little Gull flying up and down the Ausable 'old
cut' ~ 3pm today along with ~ 12/15 bonies (my third Little Gull in 5 days
of Dec - close, but not a yard bird - previous were at Wheatley and
Queenston).

Directions - at Hwy #21 and Huron Gounty #81 lights drive through the
downtown strip to the beach turning left at the roundabout to the south end
of the beach.
                                                                     Cheers!
  Maris
