As of 12:20 p.m. there is still a Purple Sandpiper located just east of Lakeland Centre (2 rockpiles) sitting on the beach. The bird was originally found this morning around 11:30 a.m. (sorry, can't remember the name of the finder) down by Hutches.
Also seen out on the lake flying west was a Little Gull about 11:00 a.m.. Distant Jaegers, a few Red-throated Loons and many ducks and scoters there as well. Cheers, Cheryl Edgecombe Directions : To reach Van Wagner's Road, take the Centennial Parkway exit from the QEW and proceed north to Van Wagner's Road. The Lakeland Centre Tower is one to two hundred metres west of Hutch's Restaurant which is west of Centennial.
