Sorry for the late post, but around 11:30 a.m. today, Sunday, October 8th, an adult plumage Swainson's Hawk was flying with 5 Turkey Vultures just east of the Town of Essex along Highway No. 3. The 6 birds were circling towards the south-west. I see that a Swainson's Hawk was reported from the Lake Erie Metropark Hawk Watch on the Detroit River today, so this may have been the same bird.
