There were occasional showers present during the early to mid afternoon. Winds were moderate to fairly strong southwest. Raptor Observations: The flight was moderate but steady and dominated by Sharpies and Kestrels. This activity continued even through the first couple of showers in the early afternoon before dropping off abruptly in mid afternoon. One very surprising highlight for the day was a sub adult Golden Eagle that was seen during mid morning, a very cooperative individual that came by very low and circled several times right over the watch. This is one of perhaps only half a dozen recorded in the month of September at this site. Non-raptor Observations: Hummingbirds were particularly active migrating ahead of the showers today. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/
