Weather:
Sunny skies in the morning gave way to increasing cloudiness during the
afternoon. Winds were moderate to fairly strong west-southwest throughout
the day.

Raptor Observations:
Migration was fairly active early in the day and stayed steady but moderate
until mid afternoon when the flight dropped off sharply with the advance of
the overcast conditions. There was no build up in the Broad-wing movement
as anticipated with the flight overall dominated by Sharpies and Kestrels.
Today also saw the largest movement of vultures so far this fall. Two
Peregrines seen early in the day put on a nice show for the onlookers,
continuing to interplay and vocalize as they flew off out of sight to the
south.

Non-raptor Observations:
Again today there was a strong movement of hummingbirds and swifts as well
as Northern Rough-winged Swallows. Two Red-headed Woodpeckers were also
noted.
