Weather:
Skies partly cleared overnight making for a partly sunny morning and a
mostly sunny afternoon. Winds were light to moderate and for the most
part, out of the west.

Raptor Observations:
The hawk flight was overall a bit slow but certainly an improvement over
yesterday. Highlighting the day was the season’s first Peregrine Falcon
with perhaps the same individual making several stoops on prey over
Gibraltar during the latter stages of the count.

Non-raptor Observations:
A small number of Common Nighthawks were noted migrating south today. Small
numbers of Lesser Yellowlegs have been moving through the last several days
with some stopping to feed on the floating weed beds along the channel
edge. Some Least Sandpipers were seen here today as well.
