Hi Everyone
Yesterday, Aug. 24 I observed 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls , 2 adult and 1 second year bird , 2 at Deschenes Rapids and one in a field near Carling Ave. and Rifle Road. Today, one adult was present at Deschenes Rapids along with 200+ Great Black-backed Gulls. The warbler migration is well underway. Yesterday, at Britannia Conservation Area/Mud Lake 16 species were observed mainly along the Ridge and Cassels Street. Good numbers of Magnolia (40+), Nashville (30+) and smaller numbers of Bay-breasted, Chestnut-sided, Blackpoll, Wilson's were seen. Today, along the Ridge there was another good movement of warblers including Tennessee, Palm, Blackburian, Blackpoll, Black-throated Green and Canada.
                                                   good birding
