Hi Everyone
Yesterday, July 14, I birded the Ottawa River from Shirley's Bay to Constance Bay. The water level along the Ottawa River is now dropping and there was some exposed mudflats at Shirley's Bay with 17 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Greater Yellowlegs and 2 Solitary Sandpiper. Along the dyke there was a small movement of landbirds including 12 Yellow Warbler, 1 Northern Waterthrush and 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. The Red-headed Woodpeckers at Constance Bay now have 3 fledged young foraging around the area and I counted a total of 4 adult birds. There were a total of six species of woodpeckers including 2 young Pileated and 3 juv. Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.
If you require additional information, please contact me privately.
