This is the Point Pelee migration report for May 15th: Light showers in the park offered excellent views of many migrants that were feeding near eye level to everyone's delight. Highlights include, near Pioneer, a BLACKPOLL WARBLER, GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER and 3 HOODED WARBLERS this morning. Further north, just south of the Sanctuary Lookout a CONNECTICUT WARBLER was heard singing. Further into the park, Tilden's woods, and especially the Shuster Trail was very active with GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, MOURNING WARBLER and YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT. A KENTUCKY WARBLER, CERULEAN WARBLER and HOODED WARBLER were spotted south of the train halfway stop while Loop Woods produced HOODED, CERULEAN and ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER. A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was the highlight in the Woodland Nature Trail The Tip produced a LAUGHING GULL once again and SANDERLING were spotted just north along the beach.
The PACIFIC LOON has NOT been spotted as of this morning.
