Weather: Blue skies with high wispy clouds for the whole day; an east wind that got stronger during the day was complicated at times by strong northern gusts off Lake Ontario. Raptor Observations: Long-time hawkwatchers agreed that the view presented by the immature Golden Eagle was the best they had ever seen at Beamer. The bird came in just above the trees and did a loop over the tower with full bright sun on its back. Wow! The two immature Bald Eagles were also low but a bit furhter away. Non-raptor Observations: First sightings this year at Beamer of Nashville, Black-throated Green and Yellow-rumped Warblers, and an Eastern Kingbird. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Mike Street ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Beamer Conservation Area, Grimsby, ON information may be found at: http://www.hwcn.org/link/niaghawk/ Site Description: Beamer Conservation Area is located on top of the Niagara Escarpment above the town of Grimsby, Ontario.
