Hi Everyone
Yesterday, February 25, at around 2:10 p.m. we saw an immature male Harlequin Duck along the Ottawa River just south of Pembroke. The duck was feeding in the fast moving water just south of the bridge between Morrison and Allumentes Island. There were also a small number of Common Goldeneye and 2 Bufflehead.

                                                       Bruce
Directions: To reach Morrison Island from Ottawa take Hwy.417/17 north to the first Pembroke exit, follow the road to the turn off for Hwy.148 to Quebec. You will see the rapids between Morrison and Allumentes Islands. Park east of bridge and walk back.
