Birders

As Ontbirds Coordinator I feel it is important to remind everyone that we
have over 1800 subscribers from across the province and beyond reading
messages on this list. Too many messages could cause people to stop
reading. If you have questions about a sighting ask the poster directly,
please don't post comments or questions on Ontbirds. If someone has
questions about your Ontbirds message respond to them directly, you should
only respond to the list if you can add new information that cannot be
easily answered by searching an atlas or the internet. If you receive an
email about your Ontbirds message that you feel is inappropriate, let the
coordinator know (that's me). For Ontbirds to be effective, posts should
focus on what was seen and how birds seen might be relocated.

A Nothern Mockingbird visited our yard (Highland Ave. in St.Catharines,
around the corner from Burgoyne Woods) on Saturday Dec. 17th around 10am.
It just sat on the fence for about a minute or two before flying away....

We hadn't seen a mockingbird for a little over a month, so not sure if its
hanging around the area or not...
Also had a Cooper's Hawk about an hour earlier than that, gave the squirrels
a fright...

take it easy
