Mark has given permission for this message to be posted. The Saugeen Shores Christmas Bird Count will be held on Wednesday, January 4th. Last year 17 members of the Bruce County Birding Club participated in the trial year and had a great time. If you would like to participate, please contact me directly.
Currently there is a Eurasian Wigeon (reported by Maris Apse), Short-eared Owl and Snowy Owls in the area. A local non-birder has reported a Northern Hawk Owl in the Port Elgin area and I will post directions if it is located.
