Weather:
Wind N-NNE 8-12 mph; Temp. 16.8C-21.5C; Sky 30%-90% cloud cover; Baro.
Pressure 30.14 mm Hg; Visibility 28 Km. We even had a perihelion (rainbow
oval 180 degrees to sun) meaning very high ice clouds 30,000+ft.

Raptor Observations:
Steady all day with the usual noonday lull. At many times birds were coming
from every direction _except_ WEST component. SS, BW, and AK mostly mixing
around and sometimes together either low or high (limit of eye vision).
BW and SS came off of the lake (Erie) from south on a southeast to
northwestward diagonal directional. They orginated from SE, S, or SW of
the tower heading in the SE-NW direction. Often no visible unless with
clouds in the background (altocumulus and cirrus).

Non-raptor Observations:
300+ duck species (mostly Mallard), 60+ Swallow sp., Am. Pipit.

One Anhinga - YES! A male flew from the south over the marsh and water
(west of the tower) heading northwest up Big Creek Marsh toward
Amherstburg. it was viewed between 11 and noon local time. Several
observers saw the bird.

This is most likely the same bird seen at Erie Metropark, MI Sunday 18
Sept and last seen going south over Pt Mouille State Game Area south of
the Metropark several minutes after it left the Metropark.

Predictions:
Sunny with clouds. low 70's Bring a coat and hat.

This is the last day of our 2005 Hawk Festival.
