Two immature Swainson's Hawks were found at 12:40 pm just outside Point Pelee National Park. They were at the intersection of Mersea D and Road 19. There is a wide ditch running east from here and both birds were along the farm lane running along the north side of the ditch, about 350 m east of Road 19.

Initially the birds were flying together above the dense row of willows that line the south side of the ditch but later they spent most of the time on the ground along the farm lane catching grasshoppers. Both birds were still present at 4:25 pm. Since it was cloudy and not very favourable for buteo migration it is possible that they will spend the night in this area.
