Hello all,

With the brisk East winds showing up at Van Wagner's today, I headed down there to see what might be out over the waters. Arriving around noon (surprise), I was greeted by the group that had already been assembled there, as they expressed relief now that the lucky (horse) shoe had arrived, they will see jaegers, or something rewarding. They had not seen anything prior to my arrival. Around 12:50 I did manage to pull a Parasitic Jaeger from the horizon way out in front of us. The next three (together) Parasitic jaegers were spotted around 2:00 by Brandon Holdon. The rain was off and on, mostly on, and the distant horizon kept closing in on us, as more blowing rain approached. Around 4:45 Eric Holdon called out that he had found several jaegers in hot pursuit, of what turned out to be a Long-tailed Jaeger. That cluster ended up to be a group of six jaegers, five Parasitics & one Long-tailed Jaeger, continuing to chase and harass each other, but very distant. I was hoping that the longer they chase each other and being up wind from us, that before to much longer they could end up a lot closer to us. Hope as I may, that isn't what happened. They broke off with all the chasing and did stay quite a distance out there. I decided to leave around 5:40 after being there for ten jaegers up to then. I was to learn later that jaegers were still seen after I had left.
