Many visitors came to the Cranberry Marsh Raptor station on Sep.4. This was the first day in many that few songbirds were noted along the path. Indeed, the Hummingbird count was much lower than during the past 6 days. Over the wetland we noted 1 Nighthawk, a Wilson's Snipe, several Chimney Swifts, along with 80 migrating raptors--including 2 BALD EAGLES (1 adult, 1 juv.), 13 OSPREYS, 7 N.HARRIERS, 29 SHARP-SHINNEDS and 19 KESTRELS.
