Weather conditions were not conducive to migrating raptors along the lake, but during the AM hours of Aug. 27 and 28 a number of good birds were sighted-- many R-t Hummingbirds, Black-billed Cuckoo, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Great Crested Flycatcher, MOURNING WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER, black-throated green warbler, black-&-white w., LINCOLN'S SPARROW, TOWHEE, AM.REDSTART, among others.
Aug.28-- a MERLIN CAME STREAKING ACROSS THE WETLANDS TO "ATTACK" OUR POLED OWL before flying off westward.
