Weather conditions were not conducive to migrating raptors along the lake,
but during the AM hours of Aug. 27 and 28 a number of good birds were
sighted-- many R-t Hummingbirds, Black-billed Cuckoo, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, Great Crested Flycatcher, MOURNING WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER,
black-throated green warbler, black-&-white w., LINCOLN'S SPARROW, TOWHEE,
AM.REDSTART, among others.

Aug.28-- a MERLIN CAME STREAKING ACROSS THE WETLANDS TO "ATTACK" OUR POLED
OWL before flying off westward.

Since Aug.21 the migrating raptor total observed is 89, including 12 Osprey,
14 Broad-winged and 11 Am.Kestrel

>From the west exit the 401 at #404(Salem Rd.) , south to Bayly, east through
Lakeridge to the first street(Hall's Rd.), south to the second roadside
parking area, walking eastward to the platform.
>From the east--exit #410 (Brock St. in Whitby), south to Victoria, west to
Hall's Rd.
