Hi all

I stood down at Van Wagner's beach for a few hours today, as the winds were steady from the NE. At 4:45 this afternoon I finally sighted what I was hoping to see, a jaeger. It was quite a ways out and I lost sight of it twice, but managed to relocate it again. It first showed up along the Stoney Creek side of my view (right), then continued to fly left, across my view to the north Burlington shoreline, where I finally lost sight of it. This location is especially good on Easterly winds, but I figured NE was close enough for me.

Directions; From the QEW (Burlington way),Take the QEW towards Niagara, going over the skyway, or Eastport drive (lower level) exit at the Woodward exit, turn right (towards the lake) at Woodward and go under the QEW and coming to stop lights at Beach Blvd. If you were on Eastport Drive,(heading east from Burlington) you will turn left at the lights at Woodward. Turn right at the Beach Blvd lights, and head east along the beach until you almost get to the Famous Hutch's fish & chip outlet. Park in the lot just before you get to Hutch's.

Good luck on future East winds
