On Tuesday afternoon we saw two adult Baird's Sandpipers at Reesor Ponds
(aka Trib C) in Markham north of Toronto. They also were seen by Stan Long
who regularly patrols these ponds. Most of the Baird's seen in southern
Ontario are buffy and scalloped juveniles, which usually start arriving in
early to mid-August.
Directions: Reesor Ponds are located on the west side of Reesor Road just
north of Highway 407 in Markham.
