Hi Cheryl, Just wanted to let you know that I've had a pair of titmice coming to my feeders since spring. They have finally brought a fledgling with them. There were three of them today. The third begging for and receiving food from the father(?) the other bird female(?) has looked very worn for the past month. Also feeding young were two families of rose breasted grosbeaks, cardinals, blue jays, chipping sparrows, white breasted nuthatches, downy woodpeckers (one of which prefers to chase away by young orioles and drink from my hummingbird feeder) and of course, grackles. I have a Carolina wren calling from the woods behind my house as well as the occasional g h owl, and red bellied woodpecker. Bob Stamp has been by to record the titmice for the birding atlas I just thought the birds were worth mentioning.
