Hi Everyone
Today, July 8th, my son Ben and I did some early morning birding. At the Mer Blue Boardwalk we observed one " Yellow" Palm Warbler and at least 5 Lincoln's Sparrows. There was still a lot of singing from Hermit Thrush, Veery, and White-throated Sparrows. Behind the Ottawa Airport, 3 Grasshopper Sparrows were observed along the fence line on Leitrim Road. A brief stop at the Richmond Lagoons produced a number of breeding species including 4 pairs of Common Moorhens, 3 of which had young, a family of Pied-billed Grebes, Virginia Rails, Marsh Wren and 2 Green Heron. A Solitary Sandpiper was noted in the north cell.
                                                           good birding
