It was reported that a pair of clay-coloured sparrows where spotted in a field on Black's Rd. near Rodney. Brad and I went there today and they were the first birds we heard. They been there since early June and seem to be nesting. They are in the scrub bush field on the east side of Black's Rd. approximately 400 meters south of Talbot Line. There is a silver maple tree with orange flagging tape on a branch which is quite visible.

Happy birding,

Joanne Reive

Take 401 to Rdodney exit (half way between London and Chatham) and go south to Talbot Line, turn west on Talbot to Black's Rd. (two concessions from Furnival Rd.) and turn south. Go approx. 400 meters and in field on east side of road.
