Hi Fellow Birders, It seemed to us that there were a lot of Clay-colored Sparrows at the aforementioned location. Many were singing, some carrying food as an indirect proof of nesting. Also Grasshopper Sparrows, lots of Field Sparrows (carrying food) and Savannah Sparrows. The best location for Clay-colored was only one hundred meters from the parking lot along the trail marked with green. They were perching very close to the trail.
