Both birds were present at Holiday Beach C.A. at 0830 a.m. on Monday, June
6 and seen where previously reported.
American White Pelican (1)--- viewed from the Hawk Tower......out in the
Marsh. .Adult in breeding plumage.
Snowy Egret (1) -- At Carp Crossing near the new boardwalk..
Walking right near the road.
Also observed were 100+ Great Blue Herons, 50+ Great Egrets, 4
Black-crowned Night-Herons and an astounding 1000+ Mallards - mostly
males. The hunt club is draining the marsh causing birds to congregate
around the remaining water holes.
Holiday Beach C.A. is located on the Lake Erie shoreline in southeast Essex
County 10 minutes south of Amherstburg and about 30 minutes west of Point
Pelee.
