A mockingbird has been singing and chattering beautifully for at least 3 =
days at the corner parking lot of Oakville Place on Trafalgar Road just =
north of the QEW. He (?) seems to be enjoying the people at the plant =
sale and is not at all nervous.

I had the pleasure of seeing an Osprey hovering over the bridge at =
Pakenham (North America's ONLY five arch stone bridge) and then plunge =
into the river, float for a few seconds and then take off with a 16-18" =
pickerel. There is a man-made Osprey nest nearby and I will have to =
find out if it is occupied. If so this would be a good place to hang =
out. I'll have to post this on my fishing web site as well, LOL.

Pakenham: 30 min north west from Ottawa on Hwy 417, left at Antrim on =
Hwy 20.

Hi Folks

I was really surprised to hear a SORA calling last night from the creek
valley behind our house at around 11:45 pm. I presume this bird is a migrant
(which would be late I would think) because the habitat there isn't really
extensive enough for a breeding site.

For those who are interested, this was my 200th species for my yard list and
certainly not the bird I expected to get me to the 200 mark!

Cheers, Tom
