Hello All

The Huron Fringe Birding Festival has completed the First weekend with over
270 Attendees and a total of 164 different species.
The weather has cooperated with sunny warm days, no rain and lots of birds.
The Festival continues next weekend starting on Thursday 2nd June for four
more days.
The highlight so far has been 6 Whimbrel that flew in for one of the guided
hikes.
Other birds of note were Common Loon, a Red Shouldered Hawk on two different
hikes and in two different locations, Common Moorhen on the DU pond at the
south end of MacGregor Park, Black-billed Cuckoo on three different days,
Olive-sided Flycatcher, Yellow-throated Vireo, Philadelphia Vireo and 27
species of warblers.

Thanks
Mike Pickup
